The Water & Sewer Capital Improvement Fund was created during 2007 to
accumulate funds needed to provide for future major repairs, replacements
and additions to the city’s water and sewer utility systems primarily in
conjunction with major improvements conducted as part of the on-going street
reconstruction program.
Future funding for these improvements will come from the direct levy of water
and sewer utility rates as well as bond financings when necessary. It is
anticipated all future long-term system capital improvements will be made
from this fund.
This fund is created by authority of the city’s charter and ordinances governing
the operation of utility systems.
