Downhill or freeride bikes required. Two
stunning trails on Johnstown’s Inclined
Plane hillside ending near the bottom
of the historic Inclined Plane. Catch a
ride on the Incline back to the top for
another thrilling ride down. Parking is
available at bottom along Rt. 56, and
at the top. (Inclined Plane is closed for
rehabilitation as of this publication

Johnstown BMX Highland Park
UPJ CAMPUS MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS
The University of Pittsburgh at
Johnstown is located on 655 acres of
scenic land and contains 15 miles of
hiking and biking trails. The Panther
Trail is a multi-use trail intended
for intermediate riders. For more

QUEMAHONING DAM TRAIL SYSTEM
HIGHLAND REGIONAL PARK
13 miles of mountain bike trails with
tight twisty, “turny” singletrack for riders
of all skill levels. Advanced riders will be
challenged by the burly rock gardens,
logs, and skinnies. Riders of all abilities can
enjoy the tight, narrow, and fast flowing
intermediate trails. In addition, there is a
wider yellow blazed trail that circles the
park and is perfect for beginners. The
park includes 137 acres of woodland, ball
fields and picnic areas in addition to the
mountain bike trail system. Home to the
Johnstown Ridgebacks Mountain Biking
Team and a Pennsylvania Interscholastic

Just 15 minutes from Johnstown,
the Quemahoning Dam mountain
biking and multi-use trail system
encircles the beautiful 900 acre
Quemahoning Reservoir. The system
features 30+ miles of trails, including
a beginner/intermediate main loop
with additional spurs being built for
advanced mountain bikers. The trails
are mainly fast and flowing. The Quarry
Trails should satisfy any rock lovers.
We challenge you to make it around
the first time dab free! Sweet 16 Trail
traverses down a ravine with a series of
16 steep and short spaced switchbacks.
Check out the newly constructed Pitch
Pine Loop which is over a half mile
completely within a dark pine forest.
And don’t forget to “do the Dippers.”
The Quemahoning Family Recreation
Area features tent, RV, and rustic cabin
camping, a swimming beach, fishing, &
pavilions. The lake is ideal for canoeing,
kayaking, and paddle boarding.
