The Government Wharf cable car station project
should include, or be proceeded by, a redevelopment of
Government Wharf and the area from Wallace Johnson
Street to the waterfront. That will feed traffic to the
cable car station, allow a free flow of pedestrians, and
turn it into the destination it should be. It will also spark
the greater reinvestment and activation of the larger
downtown area, especially the area roughly within two
kilometers of the cable car station.
