worth considering, especially along Sanni Abacha which
has parallel Goderich Road to take car traffic.
Kissy Road is the district’s primary arterial as well as the
city’s primary bus spine. While transit priority features
may be difficult to implement, given the heavy street
activity in and along Kissy, improved stops should
nonetheless be a feature to speed loading and unloading
times. Right at the Annie Walsh school’s front door, the
existing school and public transit bus stop competes
with vendors, commuters and heavy pedestrian traffic.
With the adjacent insertion of the cable car station,
the current sidewalk should be widened with retail
pulled back into the parcel in the station’s ground floor,
opening up the sidewalk for movement, transit boarding
and less congestion in the junction.
