AUGMENTATION
Malar augmentation creates a
more youthful appearance by
emphasizing your cheekbones,
or filling in sunken, gaunt cheeks.
The cheek fat pad is removed from
the cheekbone through an incision
in the mouth, and is then passed
under the skin to another incision
in the temple area. This elevates the
cheek fat pad and the corner of the
mouth for a more lifted look. Any
bagginess in the lower eyelids can
also be removed through this cheek
procedure. Silicone implants or fat
grafts (excess fat from other parts
of the body) may also be used to
enhance and reshape the cheeks.

CHIN
AUGMENTATION
The chin is an area that can make a big difference in facial
balance. In most cases, injectable fillers can be used to provide
a chiseled and symmetrical look. However, for some patients, a
surgical method is more appropriate. To do this, a silicone implant
specifically customized to the patient’s jaw is used. The implants
sharpen and enhance the mentum (the protruding tip of the chin)
and create a more pronounced profile.
