Forest Beach
With easy access to relaxing beaches, fun activities for the
entire family, and many unique shopping and dining options
all within walking or biking distance, you can’t go wrong staying in Forest Beach!
Spend some time on the clay at the famous Van Der Meer
Tennis Center, play miniature golf, or take a leisurely ride on the
bike trails that span the entire area. Want to truly experience
Hilton Head like a local? Be sure to visit Coligny Plaza, which is
the Island’s original shopping area. Coligny Plaza offers over
60 eclectic shops and extraordinary restaurants. In the summer,
free family entertainment takes over the center stage area.
FOREST BEACH SHUTTLE:
If you are staying in the Forest Beach area,
be on the lookout for the free shuttle that
services North and South Forest Beach Ave.,
Coligny Plaza and Pope Ave. You can request
a pick-up at 843-295-8247.
COLIGNY BEACH ACCESS:
At Hilton Head’s busiest beach, you’ll find
soft sand and wonderful clean water. Even
better, it’s close to the island’s unofficial
downtown area. Visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi,
volleyball nets and scores of beach rentals
and free parking. If you like an active and
lively beach experience, this is your spot. The
beach is wheelchair accessible with a deck
ramp and a special beach mat.

Beginning April 1, The Breeze service will
commence each day at 1pm, and will reach
all stops approximately every 30 minutes,
ending the day at 10pm Sundays through
Thursdays and 12am Fridays and Saturdays.
The seasonal service will run every day until
October 15, 2019.
The fare to ride The Breeze is $1 per person,
per trip, regardless of destination. Children
shorter than the fare box (43”) ride for free.
