COLLEGE OF ARTS AND LETTERS
The College of Arts and Letters (A&L) brings together programs in the
arts and humanities. A&L serves over 3,700 undergraduate majors and
550 graduate students with courses and programs run by 180 tenure
track faculty and over 200 part-time faculty. The arts and humanities are
inherently worthwhile in that they seek to elucidate the human condition
and the rich variety of human expression, so they are beneficial to students
and to the community at large. Values and ideas should inform and drive
social, political and economic agendas. A&L seeks to lead the university
and the community regarding the content, approach and experience of a
university education. A&L teaches skills in service of ideas, creativity, and
insightful discourse.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
The College of Business (COB) develops engaged, responsible, and inclusive
business leaders who enrich their communities. COB’s fundamental
goal is to cultivate excellence in COB graduates. COB provides excellent
education opportunities, publishes relevant scholarships, and facilitates
impactful engagement from local to global communities. COB develops
organization leaders and graduates students with applicable skill sets in a
timely manner. COB continues to be the educational backbone of the regional
business and organizational community and an active participant in creating
a better future.
COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
The College of Health and Human Services (HHS) includes the School of
Nursing, the Divisions of Criminal Justice and Social Work, the Departments
of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy,
Public Health, and Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration, the
Health Science meta-degree, and the Law Enforcement Candidate
Scholars (LECS) Program. The academic programs in HHS meet 15 sets
of external accreditation and licensing standards and are recognized for
quality, currency, and innovation. HHS values diversity, inclusion and access,
professional ethics, and social responsibility, and through our programs
students work in internships, clinical, and field placements and research
directly related to community well-being. The faculty and staff are committed
to student success and best practices, and more than 40,000 HHS alumni
have a significant impact on the delivery of health and human services in the
Sacramento region and beyond.

The College of Continuing Education (CCE) at Sacramento State has
been offering courses, seminars and workshops since 1951. We remain
committed to serving the community by enhancing lives through

The College of Education (COE) offers a diverse, comprehensive, and
profession-driven curriculum that prepares graduates who are sought
after for their knowledge, practical skills, and ability to lead social change
in diverse communities. As a comprehensive college of education, we give

Continuing Education extends the mission of Sacramento State by providing
access to educational and professional programming that meets learner and

identities and backgrounds, and we contribute to students’ personal growth.
Our graduates become teachers, principals, school psychologists, counselors,
and child-care providers; they work in and lead agencies and non-profits; and
they are also well-prepared for graduate school.
