For over twenty years Jay Shattuck has served as the
lead lobbyist for ABC Illinois. Through the years Jay
fought tirelessly for Merit Shop Contractors often times,
enduring harassment, threats and other challenges that
are attributed to protecting our mission.
Jay has been a fearless advocate for Illinois businesses,
entrepreneurs, limited government, open and fair competition and economically sound principles upon which
America was built. It is Jay’s hard-work and commitment to defending the principles of free enterprise that
have paved the way for ABC Illinois to be one of the
leading voices of the construction industry in Illinois.
It’s been a privilege to have Jay Shattuck at the helm of
our lobbying efforts. We wish him happiness, health and
peace of mind as he moves into the next chapter of life
– Retirement!
