In 2023, thanks to the incredible support of our
donor community and partners, the University
received $30.3 million in philanthropic funds from
1,598 donors, including $16.5 million from trusts and
foundations. This generosity enabled us to award
231 donor-funded scholarships, totalling $1.54
million, providing invaluable financial support to
students and opening doors to new opportunities,
in addition to significant investment in research.

Australian universities: the University of Adelaide
and the University of South Australia. As Adelaide
University, we are building on the strengths of both
institutions, expanding our research capacity, and
offering greater opportunities for students. With a
bold new vision and an unwavering commitment

We are also proud to reflect on the success of our
inaugural Giving Day in 2023, which together with
the 2024 Giving Day, raised more than $840,000.
During this 24-hour fundraising challenge, our
community came together to support a diverse range
of initiatives, from student support and groundbreaking
research to community outreach programs.
In 2024, we embarked on a new chapter with the
launch of Adelaide University. This new institution
