United For Youth: Youth Impact Project
United Way WRC has committed $300,000, over three years, to Smart Waterloo
Region Innovation Lab (SWRIL) to deliver training and fund youth inspired
projects through children and youth serving community organizations. The
training will help develop a community-wide framework to support youth
innovation and compassion with the goal of improving child and youth wellbeing. United for Youth aspires to empower and support the youth of our region
as leaders and change-makers. Children and youth, equipped with a unique
perspective, perceive community issues through distinct lens, fostering
innovative and diverse solutions to community issues.

Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF)
The Community Services Recovery Fund is a one-time investment of $400 million
by the Government of Canada to help Community Service Organizations,
charities, non-profits, and Indigenous governing bodies located in Canada. This
funding is in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, United Way
Centraide Canada, and the Canadian Red Cross.
United Way Waterloo Region Communities (UWWRC) and Waterloo Region
Community Foundation (WRCF) worked together as part of this initiative to
distribute $3,000,000 million in funding to support 64 projects across Waterloo
