Labour Partnership
United Way WRC has a long-standing relationship with the Waterloo Regional
Labour Council (WRLC) and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).
We share the common goal of improving our community by uniting. Together,
we have the power to tackle pressing social issues and transform our
communities for the better.
The WRLC and CLC encourage and support workplace fundraising for United
Way WRC in their unions through campaigns and payroll deductions, while
United Way WRC recognizes the vital role of labor in its outreach efforts and
supports CLC training programs in the community.
Each organization agrees that strong, active, safe, and respectful communities
are built through humane and responsive social services – and that partnerships
like this help to foster a better world for all.
