Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year Award honours an individual or group for outstanding
volunteer service, celebrating the selfless spirit in which volunteerism is offered.
Congratulations and thank you to Sandi Young, our 2023 Volunteer of the Year
recipient.
Sandi has been a dedicated and focused volunteer with United Way for five
years. Her most recent effort has been in serving as Campaign Cabinet Chair for
two consecutive years. Sandi’s compassion for the community shows in her
attention to detail and continuous effort to bring in more support. Sandi is a
volunteer who enthusiastically advocates for United Way and asks for support as
much as she is willing to roll up her sleeves and get to work. Her contributions to
United Way and the community are many through her connections to sponsors,
collaborators, and innovative and compassionate leadership. Thank you, Sandi,
for your invaluable contributions to United Way WRC and the community.
