1 READ & REFLECT! Listen & Learn with Jesus, the Word!
Jesus said, “I still have many things to say to you, but at this time they would be too
much for you to understand. But when the Holy Spirit comes, he is the Spirit of truth
and will guide you into the full truth. The Spirit will speak only of what he hears and
he will tell you of the things that are to come. The Spirit will make my glory known,
by receiving my message and telling it to you. Everything the Father has is mine; what

This coming Sunday, the Church celebrates the great feast
of The Most Holy Trinity. Ask your child what the words
‘Holy Trinity’ mean to them. What have they learnt at school
about the Holy Trinity? It may help your child if you tell
them something that you know about the Holy Trinity
(Parent tip – see the front page for helpful guidance).

The word Trinity means ‘Tri-unity’, three in one. We
remember the Trinity each time we bless ourselves
with the sign of the cross - a reminder that God is
always with us, wherever we are. Ask your child if
they know the words that complete this blessing: “In

the name of the Father, and of the ......

“The Spirit will _ _ _ _ my _ _ _ _ _ known, by receiving
my _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and _ _ _ _ _ _ _ it to you.”
Saint Patrick used a three- leaved clover (a shamrock) to illustrate
the mystery of the Trinity: it has three leaves but is just one plant.
St Patrick did this to explain that in the one God, there are
three divine persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
