Withdrawn Associates and Impact on Outcomes
From 2015-2019, 82 Associates with a graduation year of 2019 were withdrawn from upReach’s
programmes. Associates can be withdrawn either by request, after leaving University or following
prolonged periods of low engagement after multiple attempts to re-engage the Associate.

Characteristics of Withdrawn Associates
Overall, Withdrawn Associates tend to have fewer indicators of socio-economic disadvantage.
However, it is interesting to note that a higher proportion of Withdrawn Associates are
undergraduates who identify as women.
