The Graduate Employability Framework
Finally, we compared the Graduate Outcomes of upReach Associates with their Graduate
Employability Framework (GEF) scores. When an Associate joins the upReach programme, and
then again at the start of every academic year, they complete getEmployable, our GEF assessment
tool, to help them plan their development and monitor their growth across ten key employability
skill areas:
Leadership
Communication
Application and interview skills
Teamwork
Resilience
Work experience
Self awareness
Career knowledge
Professionalism
Problem solving/creativity.
The GEF was developed in close collaboration with some of the UK’s leading employers to identify
the core strengths they look for in potential hires. The GEF scores Associates out of 10 for each
skill area, providing them with a Personal Employability Report and an overall score out of 100 for
their employability. All upReach interventions are designed to help Associates develop these ten
skills.
