Lumen readers’ prizeLumen readers are invited to enter aspecial 150th University celebrationcompetition.Joanne FrenchI have suffered from anxiety allmy life. It limited me so much. That all changed upon attending theUniversity of Adelaide. I overcame so manyfears at that time that have helped me growas a person, professionally as well. I ameven able to speak in public as many ofmy volunteer positions require, as well asemployment tasks where public speakingplays a huge role. I made friends I am stillin contact with to this day, and always havevery fond memories of being so safe at theUniversity. Everyone was always so pleasantand helpful, with lovely quiet spaces to relaxand study in quiet. It all led to me learningto challenge myself, to grow more open, and more importantly, to teach my childrennot to be ruled by fear.BA (Psychology) 2007We have 12 bottles of wine from theVice-Chancellor’s selection (created byprominent winemaking alumni) to giveaway, five twin wine glass sets etched withthe 150th logo, five bottles of speciallycrafted Waite 100 whisky, and five twincommemorative whisky glass packs.Once you’ve read and acknowledgedthe terms and conditions, please send yourentries via the website.
