The Trinity Golf Society had a great
year in 2023 with 昀椀ve golf days (The
Dyke at Brighton, Mannings Heath,
The Driv, Chartham Park and the
fabulous Moor Park); par}cipa}on in
the Trinity School Golf Day; the
annual match against the Old Whits
(where we narrowly lost
unfortunately), both a singles
compe}}on (won by Nick Woodman),
and a pairs knockout compe}}on
(won by Neil Raishbrook and Nick
Woodman). Finally, our Player of the
Year compe}}on was won by our
rookie, Paul Rider.
We had a mul}tude of di昀昀erent
winners this year, which really
emphasised the depth of talent across
the membership and, under our
Captain, Jamie Binks, we had a lot of
fun on and o昀昀 the course - his jokes
though were, however.......dreadful!!
Our new Captain for 2024 will be Nick
Woodman, who needs no
introduc}on to anyone associated
with the Trinity Club, due his prowess
on the rugby and cricket 昀椀elds in the
past but also, as you can see from the
results above, is a pre琀琀y handy golfer
too! Here he is above, with outgoing
skipper, Jamie Binks.

More fun, more enjoyment, great
camaraderie, lots of enjoyable social
golf is what Nick is planning for the
new season and golf days are already
booked at Purley Downs, East Sussex
Na}onal, Betchworth Park,
Sweetwoods and Pyecombe.
In addi}on we have our Match
against Old Whits (revenge is
planned) and we will have several
members playing at Croham Hurst for
the Trinity School9s Charity Golf Day
too.
Finally, in October we will be touring
down to Sandford Springs golf course
and hotel in Hampshire (pictured
above) for three days of social golf,
plenty of beer and lots of fun and
prizes.
We would love to see you! New
members are always welcome and we
are steadily growing our membership
year by year, so why not come and
join us.
The new season starts in April with
our 昀椀rst 昀椀xture at Purley Downs on
Friday, April 12th - contact Laurie to
discuss membership and book your
place.
