Farmers for a Week
Immersive five-day residential stays on one of our stunning
heritage farms in Devon, Gloucestershire and Pembrokeshire.
Farms for City Children supports children and young people by
providing a life-changing week on one of our farms.
Wearing their wellies and working on our farms, children and young
people, many from underprivileged and under-served backgrounds,
learn about food, farming, and the natural world. They reap the physical
and mental health benefits of being in the countryside and leave
feeling inspired, engaged, and full of possibility for their future.
Why a week in wellies?
With 1 in 6 young people
suffering from mental health
issues, technology dominating
their day-to-day lives, and less
than 50% of children and
young people reaching their
daily recommended activity
levels, a week on our farms is a
vital antidote to the
pressures of modern life.
“It’s better than any trip I've ever
done, it’s way better, like the
freedom you get, you being
outside, you get that fresh air and
you get better adrenalin than you
do anywhere else.”
Leo from Redditch
Lower Treginnis, Spring 2024
In the past year, over 3,000
children and young people
visited one of our three farms
in Devon, Gloucestershire, and
Pembrokeshire. Get in touch
now to book your week in
wellies.
