Construction
Double reinforced layers of chloroprene-coated cotton and two spring steel helices.
The inner helix is visible and the second one is trapped between the layers of cloth.
Neoprene offers high resistance to chemical attack in both acidic and basic solutions.
Cotton provides better mechanical strength than glass fibre fabric.
Applications
• Transport of liquid or semi-liquid food products at high temperatures
by impulsion or suction
•Designed to resist pressure or vacuum
•Recommended when a smaller bend radius is required
Properties
• Odourless, tasteless and completely non-toxic
•White smooth inner, purple smooth outer
•Can be equipped with 316L stainless steel fittings on each end with a
roughness value of less than 0.8mm (or 0.5mm on request)
• Operational temperature range from -20ºC (-4ºF) to +100ºC (+212ºF),
may reach up to +120ºC (+248ºF)
• Can be sterilised at +130ºC (+266ºF) for a maximum of 30 minutes
• Available at a maximum length of 40m
Construction
Butyl food grade inner and EPDM cover. Equipped with two textile reinforcements
inside the wall of the tube and a double steel spring wire and copper braiding
which prevent discharges of static electricity.
Regulations
Butylic rubber produced in compliance with:
• US FDA Standard 21 CFR 177.2600
• German BfR Standard part XXI Cat 2
• ResAp 2004 (5), according to Reg 1935/2004/EEC and Reg 10/2011/EEC
• 3A Sanitary Standard 18-03 Class III (hose)
• Butylic rubber used is in accordance with EU Directive 2002/95/ECC
for Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoSH)
