The NI Arts Council is
welcoming applications
to the £240,000 Creative
Industries Seed Fund,
funded by the Department
for Communities and
Future Screens NI, and
supported by Digital
Catapult. It aims to assist
entrepreneurs, creative
businesses or arts
organisations to undertake
projects that contribute to
the growth of the creative
industries and unlock
future income generation.
Online applications (www.
artscouncil-ni.org) are now
open for grants between
£500 - £10,000 and will
close at 4pm on Monday

for like-minded businesses to

can support young people in
Northern Ireland this year.
Last year the charity
supported more than 8,500
young people in the north
to develop their confidence,
start courses and launch
careers.

hear from young people who
have been supported by The
Trust and learn how their
business can get involved
through activities including
corporate volunteering and
community impact projects.

Employers across the north
are being encouraged to
showcase their commitment
to diversity and enter the
Northern Ireland Equality and
Diversity Awards 2020.
Now in their fourth year, the
awards – which take place
at Titanic Belfast on Friday
April 3 – are organised by
Antrim-based Legal Island,
an award-winning, workplace
compliance company which
helps HR professionals
understand employment law
and how it applies to their
workplace.

‘OUTPUT BELFAST’ MUSIC
CONFERENCE
Top names from the global
music industry are lined up
to speak at Ireland’s largest
music conference Output
Belfast on Thursday February
13.
Organised by Belfast City
Council, the conference will
include panel discussions,
music sessions, workshops
and speed networking events
as well as keynote speeches
from award-winning musicians
and managers of globally
recognized talent.
Based at The MAC, the
conference is expected to
be attended by around 600
local artists, businesses
and students, and will
address the challenges and
opportunities that the music
industry presents, highlighting
the key role that music and
performance plays within the
buoyant creative industries
sector.
Opening keynote speakers
will include Michael Dugher,
chief executive of UK Music,
the organisation representing
the collective interests of
the UK’s commercial music
industry; Paul Pacifico, chief
executive of the Association
of Independent Music, the
not-for-profit trade body
exclusively representing the
UK’s independent music
sector; and Beverly Whitrick,
strategic director at Music
Venues Trust, the organisation
founded to help improve,
maintain, and organise music
