BALMORAL SHOW
Autoline ‘Down at the
Show’
A
UTOLINE Insurance is delighted to
once again attend the unmissable RUAS
Balmoral Show, the biggest event in the
NI agricultural calendar!
A spokesman said: “In particular,
we are very excited to renew our sponsorship
commitment
of
the
Beef
Shorthorn
Championships for a fourth consecutive
year.” The competition was judged yesterday
(Wednesday, May 15) and was as intense as
in previous years, with the very best of Beef
Shorthorn cattle competing for the Champion
spot.
“The Balmoral Show continues to promote
the very best of local farming and provides a
wonderful opportunity to not only view the
finest livestock, but also to experience and taste
the very best of our provincial food and is an
excellent platform to showcase long standing
and newly launched or emerging NI Food
produce.
“The diversity and variety of NI food produce
is to be applauded and our respect and passion
for helping to tell the story of this talent is the
reason we have selected NI Food as the series
topic for the 2019 #downonthefarm video series.
“We have selected three fantastically talented
and authentic NI Food providers to follow behind
the scenes and to showcase in mini docu-series
which will be on Autoline’s social channels. The
video series was launched in advance of the
show and new episodes will be aired during the
course of the show with the aim of showcasing
the people behind some of our very successful,
homegrown food producers.
“As Northern Ireland’s leading agricultural
insurance broker, we are really looking forward
to getting a chance to meet up with many of our
existing farming clients and getting the chance
to meet new customers and fellow industry
peers over the course of the event.
“The Autoline marquee (Stand B27, located
beside the cattle ring) will be a haven of family
fun entertainment once again and we welcome
all ages to come meet with us and enjoy the
fun and games on offer for the children. Over
the course of the four day show we are hosting
arts and crafts activities and workshops with
Jumping Clay, as well as selfie opportunities
and face-painting so your family can really get
involved and won’t be short of entertainment!
“While you are there, we would love the
chance to chat to you about how we could work
together to ensure your farming businesses are
appropriately covered and not running the risk
of being underinsured or not adequately covered
for all eventualities.”

Win a lamb
weighbridge
at the Ile de
France stand
NORTHERN Ireland
Performance Recorded Flocks
(Carrick, Garveway and
Glenhoy) have sponsored a
mechanical lamb weigher
manufactured by Bateman as a
star prize over the forthcoming
season.
Entry can be made by visiting
the Ile de France stand at either
the NSA Marquee at RUAS
Balmoral, May 15-18, the NSA
Sheep event at Ballymena on
July 1 or by entering at one of
the local shows over the coming
months.
Highlighting the fast growth
of the Ile De France breed,
entrants simply need to
estimate the growth rate of the
fastest growing recorded Ile De
France ram lamb (in gm/day)
as measured in the 2019 Signet
recorded scheme.
Selection of lambs at the
correct weight optimises farm
returns and regular weighing of
lambs helps facilitate this.
Runners-up will receive a
Shepherd’s Crook. Winners
will be announced at the club’s
Premier Sale at Dungannon at
the start of August.
Collection of the weighbridge
will be facilitated by Fane
Valley/Bateman.
