My aim when making calls is
to find the right business that
needs our services. This can
be a numbers game, and our
target is 80 calls a day as a
minimum requirement, but it’s
a great feeling when a lead or
appointment results in a win for
the business and sales consultants.
I like the challenge of sourcing
new business and tracking
down decision makers, and
it is a fantastic feeling to be
able to book appointments.
The most rewarding aspect
of my role is balancing all my
KPIs, but it is rewarding to know
that I have done a good job
and to be recognised by the
company for this.
My job involves dialling
out to potential customers
to arrange face to face
appointments for our
consultants. The rewarding
aspect of this is making
money and making
customers happy, and as
a team we are like a family
away from family.
I enjoy working as part of the
team – we have great banter,
and are always to help each
other. Moving to Elis was
a change of career for me,
as my previous background
was mainly in digital marketing.
The training I’ve been given
and the conversations I’ve
had with potential clients have
really helped me to understand
the business well, and I would
love an opportunity to move
into management if the
opportunity arises.
In the two years I have worked
at Elis, I have raised my profile
within ICS by booking reputable
appointments and building strong
relationships with colleagues
and stakeholders. I enjoy being
part of the social committee
in the Birmingham divisional
office and also enjoy supporting
my manager, often taking
responsibility in his absence.
Challenges vary – one day
can be successful day on
the phones and another day
it can be quiet. I overcome this
by staying positive and trying
to hit my target as soon as
possible so I am not stressing
out near the end of the month.
I joined Elis last year and my
next goal is to get out onto
the field, which my manager
is helping me towards.
