WELCOME
TO THE LATEST ISSUE OF THE THREAD
We’ve also launched two new workwear
ranges for customers in the light industrial
sector. Combining comfort, quality,
practicality and style, the garments have
also been designed with sustainability firmly
in mind (see page 11).
Our sales teams have been working hard
to secure some great new business wins,
many of which have been made possible
by the invaluable support of our telesales
team members, who you can learn more
about on page 35. In addition, we’ve been
delivering some significant savings to our
existing customers in the healthcare sector
as part of our ongoing Healthcare Textile
Improvement Programme (see page 27).
It’s been a busy and productive start to
the year here at Elis, with some exciting
developments made possible by the
commitment and dedication of our teams
here in the UK.
We’re pleased to announce the launch
of our new facility in Bridgwater, dedicated
exclusively to care homes. Specialising in
laundering residents’ clothing as well as
offering flat linen rental items, it is designed
to help customers save time and costs
by streamlining their laundry operations
(see page 7).
Corporate Social Responsibility is key to
our strategy at Elis, and part of this involves
supporting the communities in which we
operate. Last year, we donated over
£45,000 to charitable causes, and you can
read more about our latest fundraising
efforts on page 5.
Finally, a huge congratulations to our QSE
team for winning a coveted gold prize at
the RoSPA Awards – fantastic news, and
well-deserved. Read on for all this and
more, we hope you enjoy this latest edition
of The Thread.
