Ramsay Health Care
Ramsay Health Care UK has awarded Elis UK a threeyear contract to supply linen and laundry services to
34 of its sites. The group is one of the leading private
healthcare providers in England. Its facilities provide a
wide and specialised range of clinical services from
routine to complex surgery, day case procedures,
diagnostic services and physiotherapy.
Worth around £1.1m annually, the linen and laundry
services contact will see Elis reprocessing over 69,000
pieces per week. It will also involve the supply and
reprocessing of surgical clean room gowns for the
group’s Central Sterile Services Department. The
contract will be serviced by eight Healthcare sites,
along with our Shrewsbury facility.
Gloucestershire Health &
Care NHS Foundation Trust
This contract with Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS
Foundation Trust will involve the supply of linen and
laundry services to ten sites across the region. Worth
an estimated £650,000, the agreement will run for
two years and two months, with the option to extend
further. It will involve the supply and reprocessing of
over 13,000 pieces per week.
Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust
was formed in 2019, following the merger of 2gether
NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services
NHS Trust. Its facilities include seven community hospitals
offering inpatient facilities, which deliver a range of
services to people throughout the county.
The Thread
Chesterfield Royal Hospital
NHS Foundation Trust
Having worked with the Trust previously, we are delighted
to welcome them back. The deal – expected to be
worth approximately £6.5m over the duration of the
contract – was secured following a competitive tender
with other businesses, including the incumbent supplier.
Serving a population of over 400,000 in North Derbyshire,
the Trust has over 20 wards and around 550 beds. We
will now be supplying and reprocessing over 46,000
items each week, including drapes and gowns.
Mid Yorkshire Hospitals
NHS Foundation Trust
Elis UK’s Surgical Tray Wrap contract with Mid Yorkshire
Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was recently due to expire.
However, in a direct award via NHS Shared Business
Services, this has been renewed for a further three
years in a deal worth approximately £142,000 annually.
The Trust provides care to over half a million people
each year, and has three hospital sites at Pontefract,
Dewsbury and Pinderfields. We will be supplying and
reprocessing around 166,000 Ultrashield tray wraps
per annum as part of the agreement.
