Our clinics
Our team work with external health providers and can make referrals and host onsite clinics for specialists from Princess Alexandra Hospital and Great Ormond
Street Hospital. These clinics bring specialist services directly to our children,
reducing any disruption to their routines and education.
Clinics include:
Neurology clinic - We work closely with our named Consultant Neurologist from Great
Ormond Street Hospital, who oversees the children with epilepsy. This clinic takes place onsite three times per year with the consultant visiting and assessing children as well as
offering additional clinical governance and support.
GP clinic - We work closely with Dr Rajah (our named GP) from the local medical centre.
His clinic takes places once a week, where any changes can be discussed, raised and
reviewed in a timely manner. Dr Rajah has formed fantastic, trusting relationships with the
children and has an in depth understanding of their needs.
Audiology service - Many children suffer with excessive ear wax. The Nursing Team are
trained in the use of the micro-suction machine as part of an NHS initiative. Children can
attend this clinic for regular checks of their ears and wax removal of build-up if required.
Dentist - Our community dental team run clinics on-site to ensure our children receive
child-centred dental care and support. The children are also able to access emergency
care if it is needed.
Nutrition/Dietician - We work collaboratively with the team of community dieticians who
provide support to children requiring individualised diet and nutrition plans.
