Welcome
We are delighted to introduce you to our specialist nursing services, and tell you
more about the amazing care we provide to our children and young people.
Our nursing team is led by a registered Paediatric Nurse with a clinical background
in children9s intensive care and years of experience providing nursing care in a wide
range of areas such as cardiology and complex neurology, including children with
epilepsy and other complex needs.
Our nursing team are highly qualified and have a wide range of specialist skills,
including PEG feeding, VNS devices and dysphagia support. We operate 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year, ensuring consistency and efficiency for all of our children9s
healthcare needs.
We have worked hard to refine our strong multi-disciplinary approach - teachers,
therapists, nurses and care staff work in partnership to ensure we meet the health
education and therapy requirements set out in education health care plans
(EHCPs).
We are not a shared resource - we exclusively provide care for children and young
people placed with us at the Centre. With this, the relationships we build with each
child is special and unique and creates an environment where excellent, personcentred care is at the heart of our practice.
We will work as a partnership, with your child at the heart of all we do.
