ASSESSMENT
You will explore each area of the course practically and be expected to do background research into the
social, historical and cultural context. There is one written paper at A Level based on two texts from
different periods. There are two practical performance exams, one based on a directed production and
monologue or duologue and the other adapted and/or devised. Pearson Drama and Theatre Studies is
unique in the fact that it is 60% practical with research and evaluative coursework giving creative freedom
to fit the course around the interests of the group.
