OBJECTIVE 4 - MAPPING AND MEASURING IMPACT ON
THE SCREEN WORKFORCE AND ON CARBON REDUCTION
The programmes for objective 4 use crew databases to improve our
understanding of the characteristics and levels of our crews and events,
while gathering comprehensive quantitative and qualitative evidence of
short, mid and long-term changes that have been innuenced by our work.
HOW IT WORKS
"
Understanding how our collective yet localised knowledge can be best
utilised to address skills gaps across the north of England
"
Identify skills gaps to inform the other programmes of the Skills Cluster
"
Monitor and evaluate changes innuenced by our work, for example
through the number of new roles that have been created
Much of the work for year one was designed
to provide the framework for future activity
within the Connected Opportunities and
Connected Skills programmes.
HIGHLIGHTS
During our orst year, all partners in
Screen Alliance North have moved
onto the same CRM, and we are now
investigating how we share data
across the region while maintaining
the specialised local expertise that
regional crew and new entrants tell us
is so important to them.
Through the CRM, we are working on
creating a consistent method of data
collection across the partnership to ensure
that EDI data capture and deonitions of
skill levels are the same across the board.
This will allow us to measure and track
entrants more efectively.
We are only now starting to see and
comprehend the power that this data
sharing can have on upskilling the north
and creating a nuid, reactive, set-ready
workforce for incoming productions who
work alongside our olm oïces.
