Together our internships, technology, workshops, training sessions and lectures, tailored and developed to meet the
needs of our partners, make up our unique value proposition which helps us collaborate with the academic world to lay
the foundations needed to prepare students for the professional world of localisation.
Since early 2020, and as part of our commitment to continue to support our university partners and future talent
through RWS Campus, we have been working on virtualising our content and approach. This enabled us to continue to
develop RWS Campus throughout the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and it will allow us to continue to expand our global
presence through a digital footprint in the future. We can offer both virtual and in-person internships, enabling us to
reach even more students interested in the localisation industry. In March 2022 we held our first online global RWS
Campus event which was a great success with more than 1,000 registrations from 47 countries.

I started my internship at RWS remotely and couldn’t have imagined just how much I
was going to learn. I expected to see more about the day-to-day workflow and gain
a deeper understanding on CAT Tools but was also worried that not meeting face-toface for the training sessions could affect my learning experience or my performance,
and I’m glad to say that this wasn’t the case at all! In addition to having all the IT
preparedness, the team was extremely helpful and welcoming from day one.
I received constant feedback from my peers – they were always ready to explain
something that I may have found difficult, helped me get familiarised with a
variety of tasks that I had no idea were part of the translation process,
etc. I could easily contact everyone, have access to an array of
material they had prepared and the atmosphere was very warm.
