Unsurprisingly, this high-quality resource has very high
engagement amongst RWS colleagues. Since January,
when the platform was made available to everyone in the
organisation, there have been 46,068 learning content
items assigned and 231,585 learning module completions
which equates to 53,287 hours of learning. The breakdown
of users was 48% by returning visitors and 52% by new
users.
The platform comes with a supporting Mobile App and we
are keen to utilise this capability during FY23 to drive
further take up.
The MyLX platform also provides the means to roll out
the new RWS compliance training modules which we
regarded as a critical ‘One RWS’ requirement in FY22. This
programme included mandatory training in both our new
Group-wide Code of Conduct and our new information
security module, and at the end of the year we had a
98% completion rate for these modules across the entire
business. Additionally, all new colleagues take this training
as part of their induction programme.
Management and leadership
development
In FY22 we made our 'Foundations of Leadership'
programme available to all divisions and functions,
including a virtual format to maximise participation in a
multi-location environment. This high-quality programme
provides a consistent set of foundational leadership skills
across RWS in support of our aspirations to develop
common standards of high-quality leadership throughout
the Group. By the end of FY22 around 1,000 leaders and
managers had attended from multiple geographies (up
from 301 FY21) and the programme continues to build
momentum based on its reputation for providing excellent
learning.
In FY23 we will design our new 'Next Level Leadership'
programme. Moving beyond the foundational content
of our existing leadership training, this new programme
will focus on developing business critical higher-level
capabilities amongst more senior managers and leaders
across the group including holistic leadership of largescale organisation change (technology/people/clients),
strategy and transformation, leading globally dispersed
teams, and so on. This programme will take a ‘blended’
learning approach which will include classroom training,
multidisciplinary project participation, coaching and
distance learning.
Next year will also see an expanded talent development
team continuing our efforts to improve training ‘modality’
further, meaning dynamic training and content delivery.
We know this improves training return on investment
and effectiveness as it means learning can be made
available at a more precise point of need, as well as better
meeting colleague preferences for tailored learning styles.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Facilities, health and safety
RWS is committed to providing a safe environment for
its colleagues. Whilst we recognise that the nature of our
business is low risk relative to many in relation to health
and safety, we still focus very hard on ensuring we meet or
exceed local legislative requirements in all locations.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic is not over, the World
Health Organization believes the end is in sight. Its impact
on our business in FY22 was not significant, but public
health remains front of mind for us and our stakeholders.1
In FY22 we set up a Health and Safety committee.
The purpose of this committee is to oversee health and
safety matters across the Group. It is developing an
enhanced health and safety management system which
will be in place by the end of FY23 which will help monitor
and manage compliance for all offices and work locations.
Our Group-wide policy uses UK health and safety
standards as a baseline guideline for all our offices around
the world.
In FY22 there were only a small number of work-based
accidents reported amongst our colleagues globally.
Our efforts continued to focus on two areas in light of
the ongoing move towards more permanent remote
and hybrid working, these being safe homeworking and
mental well-being.
