8. RISK ASSESSMENTS AND
SAFE SYSTEMS OF WORK
Regularly identifying the hazards and risks associated with
our works and services is fundamental in protecting all
team members including those who may be affected
outside of the company. Appropriate action will be taken
whenever necessary to manage identified risks and reduce
the potential probability of accidents and incidents
occurring
8.1 Leaders will ensure that appropriate processes are
employed to identify and then communicate hazards to
those most likely to be affected. They will also ensure that
risks are managed to acceptable levels prior to works
commencing.
8.2 Assessed risks will be addressed by leaders and managers
appropriate to the nature and magnitude of the perceived
risk. Any decisions on control measures will be clearly
recorded on the appropriate documentation.
8.3 Safe systems of work will clearly define the designated
authorities required to ensure its full and correct application
and subsequent procedures (e.g. permits, LOTO, APs).
8.4 Risk assessments and safe systems of work will be
regularly reviewed and updated at specified intervals or as
when changes are introduced.
