Spinning, with the Gonge carousel, is one of the best activities
to help children gain a sense of body awareness – and it is of
particular benefit for children with autism – helping to stimulate
the vestibular system which can be a soothing activity. The
carousel seat is positioned at a slight angle which allows children
to reach and propel themselves into a spin. The seat can also be
set in motion by pushing with feet (especially in younger children).
The Gonge Carousel balance seat consists of a solid, moulded
plastic seat on a steel disc mounted with a rotation joint. Designed
for indoors and outdoors, the Gonge Carousel is a great source of
vestibular stimulation for home, schools, or community centres.
