WOMEN ENGINEERS
IN BIOMEDICAL.

My inspiration to become an
engineer sparked at an early age
when my grandmother underwent
knee replacement surgery. As a curious
10 year old, I had no comprehension of
the impact such a procedure could have on
someone’s quality of life. I was fascinated by
how this device had magically restored my
grandmother’s mobility, vastly improving her quality
of life. I saw the potential for engineering to not only
impact individual people’s lives but also those connected
to that person, like me! When the time came to choose
a career path, it was clear to me that biomedical
engineering offered the opportunity to delve deeper into
the intersection of technology and health.
