Odiham District u3a Annual Programme 2023 - 2024
Groups
Ballet for Fitness Nicki Baker
Classes begin with a warm up dance,
followed by several exercises at the
barre, focusing on improving our
technique, posture, balance and core
strength. We then come to the centre,
where the steps learnt are incorporated
into sequences of movements and short
dances. We work hard but always have fun
and achieve a sense of performance. The
hour is over too quickly.
Book Group 1
We read a range of 21st century fiction by
well established to new authors, including
winners of literary awards. All the books we
read are suggested by our members.
We start with a member giving a brief
introduction to the chosen author, which is
followed by a lively, open discussion. A
book that has not been a popular read,
often creates the most discussion!
Sally Martin, Kathy Venus, Jan Mabbott
Book Group 2 Marcia Begent
In our group we read books that have been
suggested by a group member, both
fiction and non-fiction. We then discuss
the book, over a cup of tea and some
biscuits.
Our group is limited to 12
members, which makes for
a friendly group so we can
all be heard.
