Welcome to our Annual Programme 2023-2024
Please take a few minutes to flip through this programme to see the
wonderful range of groups that our u3a has. Whether you want to
exercise, or have the opportunity to explore the creative arts, literature,
or to discover new ideas, we may well have something to interest you. So
why not explore the possibilities and discover the groups for you.
Every year the Annual Programme records how the range of our groups is
constantly evolving. In the last year 7 new groups were started, two more
are being actively explored as I write this, and if you feel like starting a
new group, we would love to support you. After all every group was
started by our members since they are all run entirely by members for
members. And what unites them all is the warm welcome you will receive
and the opportunity they provide to meet old friends and make new ones
over a shared interest.
Have a great u3a year.

Show casing members’ work
We regularly show off our members’ many talents using our Newsletter.
Group Leaders often send in photos of what their group has been up to
and some groups such as Crafts and Chat , Creative Writing 1 & 2, and
Drawing & Painting contribute regularly to the Coffee Time feature. To

These roofs were painted in
watercolour with a small
amount of ink work by Noreen
Quarrell. She says, ‘the view is
from an upstairs window
looking towards the church. It
had just rained, but, when the
sun came out all the
colours seemed accentuated
and glowed’.
