Groups
Current Affairs Ian Green & Sue Goff
Our objective is to discuss topics of interest
to our members. We seek to bring out the
factors behind the headlines, with topics
ranging from the education system, electoral
reform, the implications of global and
domestic crisis, to the way governments, and
the media, manage the messages we receive.
We willingly welcome new members in the
friendly atmosphere of the Cricket Club.
Chairs: David Kirkpatrick, Derek Spruce, Hugh
Thomas
Drawing & Painting
The Drawing and Painting Group is a selfhelp group with members happy to share
their skills and experience with other, as
well as lead on projects.
We also have a demonstration
once or twice a year.
All levels of experience
welcome.
Noreen Quarrell, Pat Jones
& Patricia Davidson
Exploring Towns and Villages
We explore the architecture, history,
development and what makes the place
special, led by knowledgeable guides.
Where possible we meet for coffee or tea
beforehand and lunch afterwards.
Meeting dates and places are dependent
on the guided tours arranged but usually
take place in the morning.
