Days 1 to 6
Arrive Islamabad and drive to Naran. Cross
the Babussar Pass (4175m) and drive the
Karakorum Highway to Fairy Meadows.
Optional trek to a viewpoint of Nanga
Parbat or to the base camp of this 8125m
peak. Tarashing - hike to Herrlikoffer Base
Camp. Free time in the village observing
local life. Magnificent drive through the
plains of Deosai National Park to Skardu
passing Satpara Lake en route.
Days 7 to 11
Shigar valley and fort - area known as
Little Tibet. Katchura Lake. Bustling town
of Gilgit - hopefully we will see a famous
Polo Match! Karimabad (Hunza Valley)
- surrounded by 7000m peaks, we visit
Altit and Baltit Forts. Karakorum Highway
to Passu. Borit Lake - we hike alongside
the stunning Passu Glacier. Hussaini
suspension bridge - cross if you dare!
Walking tour of Karimabad town and melt
water channels. Sunset at Duikar view
point (3000m).
Days 12 to 17 (21 day trip)
Travel to Gupis and enter the Hindu
Kush Mountain Range. Experience
breathtaking views down the Gupis
Valley. Shandur Pass (3720m) - alpine
meadows and turquoise rivers. Chitral
- amazing bazaar with merchants
from Punjab and Afghanistan.
Kalash Rumbur Valley - stay in a
Kalash village and see the way of
life of these fascinating people. Visit
the impressive Kalash Museum in
Bumburet Valley.
Days 18 to 21
Chitral Summer Palace and Chitral
Old Mosque. Return to Islamabad.
Taxila and the remains of Jaulian
Monastery. Guided city sightseeing
tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
- Murree Road, Daman-O-Koh view
point and Shah Faisal Mosque.
Those on the 21 day trip follow
the 15 day itinerary up to Day 11.
Days 12 to 15 (15 day trip)
Take the original Karakorum Highway
and follow the Indus River to Besham.
Continue to Islamabad. City tour of
Islamabad and a visit to Taxila Museum.
Those on the 15 day trip finish in
here in Islamabad.
