Reuse textile waste
The return system is innovative because microfiber
is not just ordinary textile as we know it from clothes.
Microfiber is a mixed textile of polyester and
polyamide as well as nylon, which is why it is not just
straightforward to recycle.
To take care of our environment, we took the
challenge upon ourselves, and after more than 2
years, we have developed a complete system and
production of a new product. The result of this is
to give microfiber a new life as industrial rolls (see
product on page 11).
In this way, waste becomes resources, because
microfiber gets extra life rather than being burned.
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
The return system contributes to The Sustainable
Development Goal number 12 through recycling
and reducing waste.
We acept all brands, as long as
they have The Nordic Swan
Ecolabel.
It contributes quite specifically to sub-goal 12.5:
”By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation
through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse”.
