Microfiber Return System
From microfiber to industrial roll
As it is now, used mops and cloths are thrown out
with the daily waste disposal.
They are burned and valuable material is wasted.
Nordisk Microfiber (NMF) wants to change that.
That is why we are launching TAKE BACK by NMF.
NMF was the first to develop and innovate a complete
return system for microfiber cloths and mops.
The system works best when it is used. The more
people who submit, the more we help the environment together.
When you use the return system, you receive a
certificate every year. This documents the amount of
recycled microfiber and the CO2, water, and energy
you have saved by making a new product from used
cloths and mops.
The return system works quite simple. All you have
to do is put away the used cloths and mops in NMF’s
return bag. The requirements are few: cloths and
mops must have The Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and
they must be handed in clean and dry. We accept
all manufacturers, as long as they have The Nordic
Swan Ecolabel.
When the bag is full, the person in charge at your
workplace will book the collection. NMF Transport will
then come and collect the used microfiber products.
The products are sorted by NMF before they are
sent for recycling. All the products are broken down
at a Danish textile mill, and afterwards the industrial
rolls are produced from the broken down fibres. The
industrial roll can then replace the traditional paper
roll used for wiping, covering and absorbing in the
industry.
