As I write this it seems scarcely believable that it is almost exactly
ten weeks since the end of our Southern Cross Safari in East Africa.
As we flagged in the cars at the end of a gruelling, but immensely
satisfying, event it was unthinkable that we would find ourselves in
the lockdown situation which we are now enduring.
The cocktails by the Indian Ocean with
fellow competitors and team members,
followed by the prize-giving under the
stars and dancing into the night, seem
like something from a different world.
Nevertheless, when the world
recovers from this, Rally the Globe
will emerge stronger with everyone
eager to travel again, see new places
and meet old friends. Personally, I
can’t wait to dust off my passport, get
my luggage out of storage and see if
