Winner of this year’s Best Agency (under 40 employees) Award and Highly Commended in both the Best Charity or
CSR Event and Best Celebratory or Awards Event categories, OrangeDoor has an impressive year, making it a worthy
winner of the Grand Prix Award.
The agency has set about transforming itself over the past two years from a “boutique service-led delivery-focused
events agency with great ambitions, to a purpose-led strategic and creative shared-experience agency”.
In line with its focus to balance people, profit and planet, in the last year alone the agency has reorganised the
business around its application for B-Corp status and joined industry sustainability body isla. It has also hired from the
Government’s KICKSTART scheme and supported initiatives such as The Collaborative Future and the Creative
Mentor Network, run the UK Creative Festival, whose purpose is to improve diversity in the UK’s creative sector, at
cost, and advised the Creative Foundation, DWEN and WEConnect International pro bono.
Internally, the agency has overhauled its people policies, introduced several new initiatives to attract and retain the
best talent, and is celebrating 84% employee growth in permanent roles since its lowest point the previous year
before, while 43% of employees who were made redundant have been re-employed since the pandemic. Meanwhile
40%+ of staff have received a promotion, 61% of staff salaries are above average salary rates against industry
benchmarks, and 92 days were spent on training staff in 2021/22.
The agency also successfully adapted and evolved and fine-tuned its services to reflect the changing needs of its
clients and built a filming and production studio in-house to better serve client needs, resulting in a 360% growth in
the number of net new clients in 2021 compared to 2020.
