Northern Ireland’s only purpose-built international convention centre, ICC Belfast plays a
leading role in making the city a thriving hub for business events.
Judges were impressed by the venue’s immense success from an economic impact perspective,
excellent client feedback and commitment to diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
Major achievements in 2023 include welcoming 76,000 delegates who have generated a
combined £59M of economic impact for Belfast and Northern Ireland. The venue hosted
premier events including CYBERUK, One Young World Summit and UKSPACE last year.

The venue is committed to operating in an ethical and responsible way. In the last 12 months,
ICC Belfast’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion has earned a bronze accreditation
from Diversity Mark. The venue is proud to be the 昀椀rst purpose-built conference venue on the
island of Ireland to receive the Green Meetings Gold Award, accredited by Green Tourism.

ICC Belfast also achieved record high employee engagement results in 2023, including
87% of team members agreeing that workplace diversity is valued and 93% have a clear
understanding of the vision and values of the organisation.

Debrief calls are carried out with event organisers after each event. The 2023 survey included
questions like How did ICC Belfast compare with your expectations as well as that of your
team and your delegates?’ which scored 98% across the year.
