INTRO
The art of meaningful luxury
travel
According to a 2023 trend report published by the Incentive
Research Foundation, incentive travel needs to be ‘more exciting,
more exclusive, more experiential, more luxurious, more
personalised, more authentic, and more memorable than ever’.
But how does this demand for ‘more, more, more’, fit with
ambitious corporate sustainability targets and the growing
demand from consumers for a more ethical form of luxury
travel?
Today’s luxury travellers (especially the younger generations) are
looking for real purpose when they travel and to leave a positive
impact on the places they visit. They don’t want to be mere
spectators; they’re ready to roll up their sleeves for a more
immersive and meaningful experience.
Our inaugural micebook LUXE, which took place on 22nd – 23rd
April 2024 at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel,
brought together an intimate group of 50 corporate and agency
buyers and luxury MICE partners to explore what luxury means
in the world of events in a whole new light.
The carefully curated programme featured a new format, with
each of our partners given the opportunity to present to the
group, sharing their news, updates and product offerings,
alongside immersive experiences and interactive content
sessions covering the evolution of luxury travel and how its
marketed, luxury travel trends and the transformation economy,
and more.
In our first LUXE Report, we share content highlights from the
event and delve deeper into some of topics discussed with the
aim of providing meaningful insights for eventprofs that design
and deliver luxury events and incentives.
The report also features
video interviews with some
of our aendees and
partners at LUXE, who share
their thoughts and expertise
on key trends, challenges
and opportunities.
