Destination, Monaco stands out for its strong commitment to sustainable
development which has intensified since the accession of H.S.H Prince
Albert of Monaco II in 2005 who has set the national target of full carbon
neutrality by 2050.
It's an ambitious objective, and one that requires everyone to play their part.
In Monaco itself, actions are focused on biodiversity, resource management,
and greenhouse gas reductions.
Further to launching the Responsible tourism white paper and signing the
Glasgow Declaration on climate action, The Monaco Government Tourist
and Convention Authority is commied to promoting more sustainable
tourism and adopting solutions to ensure that resources are managed in the
most efficient way possible.
For example, more than 80% of our hotels have opted for environmental
certification, while so mobility is being promoted through the
development of a public transport network and efficient intermodal
solutions.

industry and customers looking to adopt a sustainable approach, through
resources such as our online carbon calculator and recently launched a
Sustainable Event Managers Guide, which contains a range of practical
solutions to help them to reduce the carbon footprint of their event.
