This design, titled Heart and Arteries,
represents the flow of blood from multiple
donors (the arteries) to the Blood Centre
(the heart). From there, it flows to where it is
needed after being treated and processed.
In addition, this mezuzah echoes the roots and
branches of trees and the arms of the menorah.
Made from clay, the mezuzah has a central glass
receptacle for the parchment, representing
the heart. The interaction between the
centre of the object and the arterial strands
represents the multiculturalism found in
Magen David Adom, with diverse people
joining forces for a common goal.
