Streetworks
Team Success!
Each streetworks transaction submitted to the local Highway Authority carries the potential
of a financial penalty - £120 Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN), should any errors be made.
The streetworks team, based in the National
Operations Centre in Dartford, has the daily
task of submitting all streetworks activities,
including applying for the immediate permits
and notices and the starts on planned works.
The team averages over 270 transactions a day,
approximately 5,000+ a month.
All transactions submitted carry potential risks
should they not be submitted accurately and
on time. The fast-paced team also jeopardy
manages all streetworks reports to ensure
no FPNs are incurred due to late or incorrect
submission from over 60 suppliers.
During July, the Dartford streetworks team made
no errors and received zero FPNs, against 5,436
streetworks transactions submitted over the
course of the month.
The hard work and dedication from the team
over recent months has resulted in this great
achievement.
Congratulations to the National Operations
Centre Streetworks Team!

Positive Customer Feedback in
Edinburgh
Morrison Telecom Services has received high praise from a member of the public for the
“quality and service” of our people.
Alan Webb wrote: “Only too often we hear
complaints and negatives and the public are fast in
letting these be heard. This is the complete opposite.
I parked my car near Portobello in Edinburgh and
walked to a meeting. I was aware of two of your
employees coming along that street towards me
with what appeared to be leaflets in their arms
and were putting them on car windscreens. They
both said ‘good morning’ as we passed.
On returning to my car later I saw a notice on my
screen which had been put in a clear folder under
my wipers. The notice was to advise of work
being carried out tonight between 7.00pm and
11.00pm and requesting not to park.
It was the manner in which it was done which
impressed me. From the ‘good morning’ from
20
the men to the care of inserting the letter in a
weatherproof folder, it shouts volumes about the
promise of care in all you do. It confirms quality
and service are paramount at Morrison Telecom
Services.
If only every contractor
took the time to do
even the little jobs like
this; I wish you every
success in all you do.”
Well done to the
unnamed workers
and thank you for
representing Morrison
Telecom Services.
