THEATRES IN NYC
The Lyric Theatre’s history dates back to
1997, when it opened as the Ford Center
for the Performing Arts. The Lyric continues
to host some of the most popular Broadway
shows in history.
The Gershwin Theatre is easily one of
Broadway’s jewels when it comes to live
performance venues. The Gershwin opened in
1972 with 1,900 seats making it the largest
theatre on Broadway. The theatre is currently
home of the Broadway smash-hit musical
Wicked.

Carnegie Hall first opened its doors in 1891.
It is located at 881 Seventh Avenue, occupying
the east side of Seventh Avenue between West
56th and 57th Streets. Built by philanthropist
Andrew Carnegie, it is one of the most
prestigious venues in the world for both
classical music and popular music.
Radio City Music Hall is an entertainment
venue and theater at 1260 Avenue of the
Americas, within the Rockefeller Center. Nicknamed “The Showplace of the Nation”, it is
the headquarters for the Rockettes. It opened
in 1932 and has seen more than 300 million
visitors pass through its doors, to enjoy stage
shows, movies, concerts, and special events.
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
(also simply known as Lincoln Center) is a
16.3-acre complex of buildings in the Lincoln
Square neighborhood on the upper West Side
of Manhattan, making it the largest performing
arts center in the world.
