FIFTH AVENUE
New York’s Fifth Avenue is the city’s most
famous shopping street, and probably the
most famous shopping street in the world.
Here, you can find flagship stores for nearly
every high-end designer - Louis Vuitton,
Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Prada, Valentino,
Armani, Fendi, and more. The most iconic
section of Fifth Avenue starts at 42nd Street
just above Bryant Park and extends to 59th
Street at Central Park. It’s a popular spot for
celebrities and New York’s elite, but it’s also a

great area to get that true new York window
shopping experience (which, if you pay
attention, is what many people on the street
are doing as well). Fifth Avenue is where you’ll
find the lavish window displays in front of
SAK’s Fifth Avenue, Barney’s, and Bergdorf
Goodman, all of which update their windows
each season and attract thousands of visitors
each year during the winter holidays. Even if
you don’t want to break the bank, Fifth Avenue
is a great spot to visit for large stores like
H&M, Uniqlo, Zara, and Ann Taylor.
SOHO
SoHo is one of the City’s most eclectic
shopping enclaves, holding everything from
designer boutiques and one-of-a-kind shops to
bargain emporiums and kids stores. Bordered
by Canal Street to the south, Lafayette Street
to the east, Sixth Avenue to the west and
Houston Street to the north. Big names like
Chanel share streets with small stores.
