At the Muster Point the following will be available:
• Toilets are available in the Visitor Centre along
with drinks and snacks.
• Dohl and Tabla Drummers will interact with athletes.
• Nottingham’s own Robin Hood will be present.
• Athletes will have access to an adjacent outdoor
activity area.
Further toilets are available in the Castle Museum
which is next to the Castle Fields and therefore is
more accessible once having completed the Parade.
The Parade route is up a gently sloping tarmac path
and is 250m in length to the Castle Field and once on
the Castle Field the Ceremony will start at 7pm and will
all be over by 7:50pm at the latest. Nottingham’s Youth
Brigade Band will lead the Parade.
The Opening Ceremony is on grass and athletes will
need to remain standing throughout the Ceremony.
There will be a limited number of seats around the edge
of the field for those people who need respite seating.
