Tathagata Bud Center: A Beacon of
Enlightenment
Tathagata Bud Center, a
Buddhist cultural center
initiated by Ven. Gyakong
Padma Tenzin Rinpoche, has
branches in different areas
of the world.
The name 'Tathagata Bud
Center' derives from the
first incarnation of Gyakong
Padma Tenzin Rinpoche,
Jigme Gyalwai Nyugu—the
meaning of this name is
'Fearless Tathagata Bud'.
This remarkable name
reflects our lineage and
signifies our commitment to
uphold and advance the
teachings of Dharma.
Guided by Rinpoche's grand
aspiration, we embrace the
principles of Mahayana
Buddhism, such as
compassion, altruism, and
bodhicitta, as our
cornerstone, with the
transmission of the Dzogchen
wisdom of emptiness at our
core. We aspire to bring
worldly benefits and
ultimate happiness to all
sentient beings without
discrimination.
In addition to hosting
traditional Buddhist events
such as Dharma assemblies,
life release, smoke
offerings, Tathagata Bud
Center actively promotes
various meditation courses
and maintains an openminded approach to
activities beneficial for
contemporary mental and
physical well-being.
Dedicated to harmonizing
tradition with modernity,
we integrate diverse
spiritual practices without
compromising the core spirit
of Buddhism. Our aim is to
combine the learning,
contemplation and practice
of the Buddhist teachings
into daily life, illuminating
each individual with the
light of the Dharma and
leading them to the
enlightenment of truth.
